The works for erection of a monument shall be carried out in the presence of the person responsible for maintenance of the tomb.
Monuments and other tomb structures shall be built by the partners of UAB “Labradoras”, i.e. the companies that have concluded cooperation agreements with UAB “Labradoras”, in compliance with designs approved by the architect of the company maintaining the cemetery.
Extract from the “Rules for construction of tomb structures in the cemeteries of Vilnius City”:
1. The following structures can bee built on tombs:
1.1. A monument from natural or artificial stone of 1.2 m height (above the ground surface, including the pedestal height) and up to 1.5 m width, when the monument is composed of two stone parts at a maximum distance of 50 cm from each other, connected by a decorative element (an open composition of forged or cast metal, a cross, a “sun”, etc.);
1.2. A monument in the form of a pillar, obelisk, cross, roofed pillar-type cross from natural or artificial stone or from wood up to 2.0 m height, excluding the top in the shape of a cross or a “sun”;
1.3. A monument – sculptural composition from natural or artificial stone or forged or cast metal (or their combination), in the form of sculptural, portrait or decorative three-dimensional plastic.
2. Legal and natural persons are entitled to erect tomb structures in compliance with the designs approved according to established procedures.
4. Compliance of tomb structures with the rules shall be verified by:
4.1. The institution or the company that maintains and manages the cemetery of the city;
7. Structures and plants on the tombs (when they have been registered in accordance with the established procedure by the institution or the company that maintains and manages the cemetery) are the property of the natural or legal persons having installed them.

The person responsible for maintenance of the tomb, at whose request the burial permit was issued and the tomb place was assigned. His data shall be entered in the register. The person responsible for maintenance of the tomb shall maintain the tomb or shall conclude maintenance agreement with other persons to ensure that the tomb was in good order.
